Efficient Frontier Releases Q4 Search Engine Performance Report
Data Shows Search Advertising Performance Improves as Google Strengthens Market Lead
Mountain View, CA - January 29, 2008 - Efficient Frontier, the worldwide leader in providing search engine marketing technology and services to top-tier advertisers, today announced the release of the Search Engine Performance Report: Q4 2007. The report shows that Efficient Frontier's advertisers spent 29% more on search engine advertising in Q4 2007 versus Q4 2006 and improved return-on-investment (ROI) by 13.1% in the same period. Of the top three search engines, Google made the most gains, increasing its share of total market spend by 8.6% to reach 76.6%, improving ROI by 7.5%, and capturing 97% of the total increase in search spending in Q4 2007 compared to Q4 2006.
Efficient Frontier's Search Engine Performance Report: Q4 2007 also shows that ROI on Yahoo! improved 39.4% since the launch of Yahoo!'s Panama platform (Q4 2007 versus Q4 2006), and MSN maintained its lead in driving the highest ROI for advertisers, at 27% greater than the average return across all engines in Q4 2007.

Efficient Frontier analyzed nearly 17 billion impressions and more than 270 million clicks to determine how shifts in the search marketplaces in 2007 impacted overall spending and campaign effectiveness. The Search Engine Performance Report: Q4 2007 was completed based on data from a fixed sample of Efficient Frontier's US clients from Q4 2006 through Q4 2007 and includes data from large search engine advertisers across multiple verticals.
